2023 Backyard Team of the Year Points Chase & Schedule

We’re planning to compete in over twenty KCBS sanctioned events during the 2023 Backyard Team of the Year points chase.

What Is the KCBS Backyard Team of the Year Points Chase?

The KCBS Backyard Team of the Year is chosen following a year-long points chase that runs from November 1 – October 31, each year. Teams earn points based on their rankings for every KCBS-sanctioned BBQ contest in which they compete. The Backyard team’s highest 5 scores in chicken and ribs count for Team of the Year points.
